FASHION WEEK : Zophia Faves Fall 2011
As Fall 2011 Collections continue funneling into magazines, blogs and websites of our much loved fashion world, we were more than ecstatic to take it all in. As usual, there were shows that broke new ground, and there were a couple trends that have been re-visited from the past season. However, two designers in particular caught our attention. Here are some ZOPHIA favorites:
Alexander McQueen
With Sarah Burton seamlessly fitting into her role now with the Alexander McQueen label, this collection was truly a delight. There were classic McQueen silhouettes with the ever-present McQueen feel, but Sarah’s added touch of femininity to each piece was celebrated. Black and white chiffons with dashes of soft colors, fur trims, and touches of leather were all handled beautifully and crafted to perfection. We absolutely adored every look.

Isabel Marant
Another collection with strong attitude was Isabel Marant. Compared to McQueen this collection was the other end of the fashion spectrum. Marant’s line had the fun and buoyant vibe that has become quite her trademark. This collection has the “fun, French girl” look with a dash of American style. The statement here was “Go Navajo,” with Marant’s signature fringe boots, paired with Navajo inspired prints on sweaters, jeans and skirts, and plenty of patch-work denim. So fun!
