Yesterday someone asked ' that woman you sketch every time, where is she going? who is she? who inspired her?' I smiled and said, it's you mom! Didn't you know? The image of you getting dressed for work has stayed with me. As a child, I wanted to be like you so badly, even now. She smiled.

ZOPHIA is anchored on the fact that all women can be powerful. Yet, everyone's obsession with modern-day feminism bores me to death. It feels like every new startup wants to teach women a new trick. Women should do this, women should do that and then we have Beyonce dancing half naked for the sake of who knows what.  For me, women aren't powerful if they need to flaunt it. For me, power is in those women that think of themselves last. Its in those women that don't want to be in the spotlight. My mother and my sister seem to have a Ph.D. in undercover power. My sister has no idea but she's the silent warrior that anchors me. My mother, well she introduced me to sophistication and confidence. But above all things, she taught me that a woman should love others even if it hurts. That's why I sketch my CEODOLLS facing forward. They face towards others, greeting the world, with love leading them, not the lust for power.
